Collaboration That Drives Innovation: Insights from Zaddons’ First Customer Advisory Board
From roadmap sneak peeks to peer learning, Zaddons’ first CAB delivered powerful insights. Discover how customer feedback is driving our innovation journey.
At Zaddons, collaboration isn’t just a value—it’s a catalyst for innovation. Last month, we took our customer-centric approach to new heights by hosting our first-ever Customer Advisory Board (CAB). This initiative allows us to listen, learn, and co-create with our customers to ensure our solutions continue to meet their evolving needs. With input and requests from our customers representing 30-40% of the 135+ features we developed in 2024 alone, we recognize the depth of expertise and real-world insights they bring. This first CAB focused on one of our key verticals—the aviation industry—creating a forum for meaningful dialogue and shared progress.
What is a CAB and Why Does It Matter?
A Customer Advisory Board (CAB) is more than just a meeting—it’s a strategic partnership forum that allows Zaddons to assemble our key customers in an environment that fosters innovation, drives product direction, and enhances customer success. Receiving feedback and insight from our products' users is critical in allowing us to deepen vertical-specific knowledge, identify emerging trends, and validate opportunities and requirements. It also allows us and our customers to forge relationships, network, have fun, and, most importantly, collaborate to achieve mutual success.
Key Takeaways: What Matters Most to Customers
Our customers were genuinely excited by the roadmap discussions, especially around upcoming features designed to elevate the employee experience with Zaddons’ products. One topic that sparked particular engagement was the future “Employee Hub”—a unified dashboard that combines information from various Zaddons modules into one intuitive interface.
Enhanced administrative functionality also sparked excitement, as it promises to simplify how teams support and manage Zaddons daily. In parallel, the introduction of predictive elements to our bidding solutions captured the attention of many, opening the door to even more strategic and data-informed scheduling decisions.
Being able to voice priorities and contribute to the product vision was a clear highlight for our participants, and it’s at the heart of why this event exists.
The Importance of Flexibility
One key takeaway from the session was the growing demand for flexibility, not just in scheduling but in overall workforce management strategies. As one participant noted, “Real-world scheduling isn’t just about filling time slots—it’s about precision, timing, and the lived experience of frontline teams.” The discussion highlighted how offering flexible scheduling options can boost employee satisfaction and productivity. Ultimately, the more effectively companies can provide flexibility, the better their chances of attracting and retaining top talent.
The Power of Peer Learning
Collaboration wasn’t limited to Zaddons gathering feedback—customers also learned from each other. Newer customers were inspired by best practices shared by peers who had successfully navigated the implementation process. A standout moment was when a mature client, who had become highly self-sufficient in rolling out the product suite across multiple locations, shared their experience. Seeing Zaddons at the heart of their operations was a proud moment and served as inspiration for newer customers. This peer learning highlights how the collaboration at the CAB extends beyond Zaddons—it’s about building a thriving community.
Looking Ahead
We couldn’t host this event without creating hype around the upcoming in-person Customer Advisory Board, which will be taking place in early June in beautiful Old Montreal! Zaddons is excited to welcome the members of the CAB to our home city for an event that will be filled with deep dives into upcoming features, workshops, industry guest speakers, and activities full of local flavor.
We eagerly look forward to continuing the conversation, mapping the future together, and expanding the CAB to our other key verticals!
